Who should attend Part I?
 

This course is an introduction to HEC-RAS for new users AND a refresher for users who have limited experience with the HEC-RAS program.

You will receive 6 hours of computer time with hands-on instruction and practical use training.
 
  • Learn how to "get around" in HEC-RAS
  • Become proficient at creating projects
  • Learn to use multiple geometry files
  • Determine how to choose flow file boundary conditions
  • Understand HEC-RAS "Plans" for computing profiles with various Steady Flow and Geometry files
  • Viewing and Comprehending output
  • Goal of the Introduction course:
      You will be able to open existing HEC-RAS files, review geometry and flow files, run plans for any combination of geometry and flow files, and understand the output. You will also be able to generate your own HEC-RAS projects by learning to create geometry files and flow files.
